The Society, which was formed in the 1970’s, meets in the Parish Centre on the second Monday of each month (except August) at 7.30 p.m..
A programme of entertainment arranged, obviously with some aspect of music to the fore, and includes such things as ‘Dessert Island Discs; Music Appreciation; The stories of Composers - suitably illustrated; Instrumentalists and Vocalists.
The December Meeting is usually taken over by the Annual Christmas Dinner.
The Society is open to ‘anyone who enjoys and appreciates music’, and new members are always most welcome. Each meeting is quite an informed social occasion and includes tea and biscuits and plenty of fellowship.
There is an annual membership fee of £5 to cover expenses.
